Getting inside a man's shed

For many people of a certain age, tinkering away on a project in the shed at the bottom of the garden is one of life's great pleasures. But traditionally this has generally been rather a solitary pursuit.

Now a new movement is bringing like-minded people together to tinker in unison.

The Men's Sheds project was conceived in Australia, partly as a way of encouraging older gentlemen to socialise together, thereby increasing their quality of life - and hopefully their levels of general health.

Clubs have now started opening in the UK - including the Camden Town Shed, external. BBC News went along to one of their regular meetings to meet some of the members.

Stop/Start is an ongoing series of video features for the BBC News website which follows both new trends that are beginning and old traditions that are coming to an end.
