Amr Mounib: Photos recreate Egypt's 'golden age'
When Egyptian-American photographer Amr Mounib went back to his family's homeland after 35 years away, he no longer saw the country he had known as a child.
Mr Mounib had spent most of his life in the US, even serving in the US Navy, before returning to Egypt in 2007.
Instead of the paradise he remembered, Mr Mounib was saddened to see the Egyptian people struggling to survive.
His photography combines his idyllic vision of Egypt and the poverty, turmoil and revolution of the past few years.
Produced by Gringo Wotshela, Bill McKenna and Ashley Semler; filmed by Allen McGreevy
