Copenhagen's keeper of the homeless grave

A homeless Irishman in Copenhagen is calling on cities around the world to provide special graveyards for those who share his plight.

Every day "Captain Mikey Irishman" visits the city's homeless grave to lay flowers. A section of Copenhagen's cemetery was set aside with a special monument in autumn last year.

But the management of Assistens Cemetery say the large flower arrangements Captain Irishman makes, have to be removed to allow the grass to grow.

Danish homeless charities are pleased that Captain Irishman is caring for the grave, and back the idea of establishing homeless cemeteries worldwide, but acknowledge that he does not respect boundaries.
