Baby elephant's flight in four-seater plane

Gary Roberts is a nurse and pilot from the US who works as a missionary in Chad.

When he came across a herd of elephants that had been killed by poachers, he attempted to rescue the sole survivor - a baby elephant he named Max - which he then flew home in his small lightweight plane.

Sadly, Max later died as a result of the ordeal he had endured.

Gary Roberts told BBC World Service Outlook's Matthew Bannister how he came to find Max, and their remarkable flight home.
