Rikki Poynter vlogs about deaf-related issues and campaigns for all vloggers to closed caption (CC) their videos. She started making YouTube videos in 2010 after finishing college and to combat feeling "bored, lonely and depressed".

She recently encouraged vlogging star Tyler Oakley to include closed captions (CC), external his YouTube videos so deaf people can partake in the online fun.
