Ukraine crisis: Life as a paramedic in war-torn Donetsk
As the leaders of Russia, Ukraine, France and Germany gather in Minsk for peace talks, the situation in eastern Ukraine remains volatile.
According to the most recent figures, between 31 January and 5 February fighting in populated areas in the region claimed the lives of at least 263 civilians and wounded a further 674 people.
Many of those died in the rebel stronghold of Donetsk, where the sound of shelling is almost constant.
Ambulance crews often risk their own lives responding to calls and attending to patients.
BBC News joined a team of paramedics in Donetsk and witnessed the danger and challenges they face every day.
