Repairing a rhino damaged by poachers
Last year a record number of rhinos were illegally slaughtered for their horns in South Africa's Kruger National Park. They were killed by poachers, most of them from poor communities in neighbouring Mozambique.
Wildlife surgeons are experimenting with new techniques to try to repair the damage done to rhinos who survive attacks.
At the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre, Our World's Leana Hosea watches as Dr Johan Marais uses dental materials to carry out pioneering reconstructive surgery on a rhino whose horn was removed by poachers.
