Will Herring talks about self-harming as a teenager

A new report says young people don't know who they can talk to about self-harm.

The research has been carried out by the mental health charity, Young Minds. The organisation spoke to 2,500 people including teenagers, parents, teachers and doctors.

The findings suggest three quarters of under-25s who self-harm feel there isn't any support out there for them.

Will Herring, 20, used to self-harm when he was a teenager. He says at the time he didn't feel able to talk to anyone about his problem.

He was speaking to Newsbeat's Anthony Baxter.
