British Red Cross gives self-poisoning first aid tips
The British Red Cross says that it's worried that many young people don't know how to help a friend who may have deliberately poisoned themselves.
Figures show the number of hospital admissions for people who have carried out the form of self-harm has risen by almost 50% in a decade.
The NHS statistics show there were more than 114,000 cases in England, Wales and Northern Ireland during 2011.
