'New driving rules were too limited,' says learner
Jay Singh, 21, is in a band and finishes performing late at night.
He says he is glad the government has decided not to go ahead with plans to restrict young drivers, impose curfews and change the driving test.
"For me I need to be able to drive after 10pm. I'm doing gigs that finish at 12 or 1 o'clock in the morning and have to get straight back home to do my job the next day," he says.
Other plans being put on hold include a lower legal alcohol limit.
