Radio 1 Big Weekend's Saturday highlights

Coldplay closed the first night of Radio 1's Big Weekend in Glasgow with fireworks, lasers and bagpipes.

Earlier in the day Lily Allen, Lorde and Twin Atlantic played to crowds, with 50,000 people attending the Radio 1 event over two days.

One Direction kicked off proceedings, opening the Main Stage to thousands of screaming fans.

Ed Sheeran, Pharrell Williams and Bastille were also among the acts to perform.
