Could starfish inspire new cure for asthma?

The spiny starfish (Marthasterias glacialis) produces a slimy goo as a defence mechanism, which researchers think could help people with the conditions.

BBC science reporter Rebecca Morelle visited the Scottish Association for Marine Science in Oban, Scotland, to find out more from ecologist Dr David Hughes.
