The science of sex at the Natural History Museum
An exhibition at the Natural History Museum is peering behind the curtains to examine sex in the natural world and the science behind it.
Sexual Nature looks at the links between sex, power and death in the animal kingdom.
Creatures like Guy the Gorilla would have been alpha males in the wild - but instead he failed to mate successfully in London Zoo's captive breeding programme.
The exhibit also features the antlers of two caribou locked together, following a battle for territory and mating rights which ended in their deaths.
