3D microscope developed by team of US researchers
Researchers from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in the US State of Maryland have demonstrated a striking 3D microscope.
The device can take pictures of living cells in unprecedented detail while giving a unique look into life at the microscopic scale.
Images captured by the microscope include the division of chromosomes during cell division, the wispy membrane around a living cell, and the detailed movement of cancer-signalling protein.
