Former Libyan Foreign Minister Moussa Koussa breaks his silence

Moussa Koussa, the most high profile defector from the Libyan regime, has spoken publicly for the first time since arriving in Britain.

In a prepared statement to the BBC he called on Britain not to give up on the Libyan people.

Mr Koussa, Colonel Gaddafi's foreign minister until twelve days ago and a former head of Libyan intelligence, has been accused of being involved in the Lockerbie bombing of 1988.
