Beached dolphins: Expert says take advice and keep calm
Local people and tourists in Arraial do Cabo, in Rio de Janeiro state, helped a pod of 30 dolphins swim back out to sea after they became beached.
Footage of the event received hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube since being published on 5 March.
Mark Simmonds, who is International Head of Science at the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society, says the rescuers should not have grabbed them by the tail as this can cause them damage.
He says the first port of call is to contact local experts and take their advice.
