Cross-bred tiger cubs 'doing well' in Mexican zoo

A female Bengal tiger and a male Siberian tiger have produced three cubs at a zoo in Mexico, despite being different sub-species.

Siberian tigers are critically endangered, with only 2,000 left in the wild.

The Jaguar zoo in Oaxaca hopes it will be able to find a female Siberian tiger in order to produce a pure litter.

The half-Siberian, half-Bengal cubs are now 10 days old, and are said to be doing well.
