How the SKA telescope could change our view of the Universe

Scientists are awaiting the announcement of a decision on where the world's biggest and most powerful radio telescope will be built.

The huge Square Kilometre Array (SKA) project could be built in South Africa or Australia and New Zealand, and aims to produce a radio telescope with a collecting area of one million square metres (one square km).

The BBC's Pallab Ghosh has been to Jodrell Bank Observatory in Cheshire, where the SKA project team is based.
