Bloodhound supersonic car set for rocket tests

The team behind the Bloodhound SuperSonic Car plans a series of tests on the rocket needed to take the vehicle to 1,000mph, raising the land speed record in the process.

The Bristol-based team says the tests are a very visible demonstration of the progress being made on the design and manufacture of the supercar.

Chief engineer Mark Chapman updated BBC science correspondent Jonathan Amos on the progress of the project.
