Girls on why they still love physics

A new study has shown that nearly half of all state schools in England are not sending any girls to study A-level physics.

The research by the Institute of Physics (IOP) indicates that the situation is likely to be similar in schools across the UK - and also shows that pupils at all-girls' schools are much more likely to study the subject.

The IOP described the figures as "shocking and unacceptable".

BBC News went to visit one school where physics is a more popular A-level subject for girls - Lampton School in Hounslow, London.
