Great apes may suffer 'mid-life crisis' says study
Chimpanzees and orangutans may experience a "mid-life crisis" like humans, a study suggests.
An international team of experts including psychologists, primatologists and economists, studied more than 500 captive chimpanzees and orangutans from around the world.
They found well-being was high in youth, fell to a low in mid-life and rose again in old age, similar to what is experienced by humans.
