Is the jet stream to blame for our bad weather?

The weather this spring is in contrast to that of last March, the third warmest on record, when temperatures were in the 70s.

So what has gone wrong? The meteorologist Dr Liz Bentley, founder of the Weather Club at the Royal Meteorological Society, says it is all down to the position of the jet stream, as she explained to Today presenter John Humphrys.
