Poisoned vulture makes recovery

Conservationists in South Africa are warning that the population of vultures is in danger throughout the continent.

One of the biggest threats is the illegal poaching of elephants and rhinos.

Poachers poison the carcasses to prevent the vultures alerting wardens to the presence of a kill, with a single incident leading to the potential deaths of hundreds of vultures.

In this clip, Kerri Wolter, CEO of conservation group VulPro, re-introduces a recovering vulture, which was poisoned, to the sanctuary.
