Man grows tree with 250 varieties of apple
A horticulturist has managed to nurture a single apple tree which bears 250 different varieties of the fruit.
Paul Barnett, 40, has spent 25 years developing the tree which is growing in his back garden in Chidham near Chichester.
The tree now bears everything from Granny Smiths and Golden Delicious to Wadhurst pippin and cooking apples.
But despite having so many options to choose from, Mr Barnett told BBC Radio 5 live's Drive that his favourite "must be a Winter Gem."
