Distant galaxy z8_GND_5296 found 30bn light years away
A team of international astronomers has discovered the most distant galaxy in the universe.
The galaxy, named z8_GND_5296, is about 30 billion light years away and is helping scientists understand the period that immediately followed the Big Bang.
