Dental check project to help endangered orangutans

Orangutans are one of world's most endangered species, it is estimated there are just 20,000 left in the wild.

Conservationists are constantly looking for ways to protect the animals and now experts at Chester Zoo are hoping a dental project can help.

They are studying the apes' teeth to work out their age.

This information can then determine whether orangutans in the wild are mature enough to be relocated from threatened natural environments.
