Blue whale skeleton to be museum's new intro

After 35 years, London's Natural History Museum (NHM) is to swap its entrance dinosaur skeleton for a blue whale specimen.

"Dippy" the Diplodocus will be replaced by the cetacean in 2017.

Richard Sabin is the manager for the vertebrates division at the NHM. He described the scope of the cetacean specimens held at the museum to our science correspondent Jonathan Amos.
