How and why a mosquito bites you

Malaria kills a child every minute and disables millions of adults. While there has been success in tackling the disease, malarial mosquitoes are posing a new threat. They have started biting during the day in some parts of Africa.

Malaria researcher Professor Gabriella Gibson at the University of Greenwich is looking at ways to tackle the problem. She tells Our World how and why mosquitoes bite us.
