British astronaut Tim Peake makes journey from base to space
UK astronaut Tim Peake has made his landmark flight to the International Space Station (ISS).
The ex-helicopter pilot - with American Tim Kopra and Russian Yuri Malenchenko - launched on a Russian Soyuz rocket at Baikonur Cosmodrome, in Kazakhstan.
Major Peake waved goodbye to his family before boarding the rocket and launching into space, where he waved once again.
