Airbus works to meet Orion deadline

European industry has begun assembling the "back end" of America's Orion astronaut capsule system, which is due to make an important demonstration flight in 2018.

The work to produce this rear "service module" is led by Airbus Defence and Space.

Bart Reijnen, the company's head of on-orbit-Services and exploration, spoke to our correspondent Jonathan Amos about the status of the project.
