Could wireless bridge the broadband digital divide?

People in rural areas have long suffered from slow internet speeds, but could new technology help bridge the divide between town and country?

BBC Technology Correspondent Rory Cellan-Jones was visiting the broadband "notspot" of Felindre near Swansea, when Matthew Beynon of TFL Wireless Broadband turned up to show of some kit that could provide some hope for the locals.

He demonstrated how a broadband connection with download speeds of about 15Mbps and uploads of over 4Mbps could be provided relatively easily.

While this will not satisfy the fibre lobby looking for 100Mbps, it could provide a short-term fix for many places.
