RoboCup: Robots play football to develop artificial intelligence
Robots trained in Scotland are taking part in an international football world cup challenge.
Teams from around the world are battling it out on the pitch at RoboCup 2011 in Istanbul.
The University of Edinburgh's Subramanian Ramamoorthy leads a team that has trained commercially-made robots to play football.
The project is intended to develop artificial intelligence.
The BBC News website will have video and reports from the finals in Istanbul on Monday 11 July.
