Solar car undergoes final tests
A team of students in the Netherlands is preparing to enter the World Solar Challenge, a biannual 3,000km solar-powered car race from Darwin to Adelaide in Australia.
The Nuon Solar Team from the University of Delft has had just over a year to design and build the car, which is now undergoing its final tests before it heads off to the race in October.
The Nuon team's technical manager Mike Hoogstraten explained the tests which took place at the German-Dutch wind tunnels in the Netherlands.
