Blackberry: 'We were not hacked'

The head of software technology at Research In Motion, which owns Blackberry, has said the firm does not believe the recent service outages were caused by a hack.

David Yach, chief technology officer for software at the company also said they had to throttle traffic while they tried to manage a backlog of messages.
