WWW inventor on Data Institute plan
The inventor of the world wide web Sir Tim Berners-Lee has welcomed plans to launch an Open Data Institute (ODI).
The ODI, which will be based in Shoreditch, East London and receive up to £10m of government funding, aims to help develop new businesses based on public data published as part of the government's Open Data policy.
Sir Tim who will co-direct the institute with Professor Nigel Shadbolt spoke to The World At One's Martha Kearney about the ODI.
