Sir Tim Berners-Lee: 'Change is getting faster'

To mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, the World at One has been talking to holders of the Order of Merit - the honour that is in the personal gift of the Queen - about what has changed in their profession during her reign.

Tim Berners-Lee, the inventor of the world wide web, is a member of that exclusive club.

He spoke to Shaun Ley about what computers were like when the Queen came to the throne, and what the future holds.

It would be "crazy" and "illogical" to imagine that the pace of technological change will not continue to increase, he said.
