How do you make a washing machine out of an old ship?

Tom Wrigglesworth and Rob Bell travel to Belgium, to Europe's largest ship-breaking yard, to discover what happens to ships at the end of their working lives.

As they watch massive hulls being torn apart they gain an insight into how the scrap metal from their carcasses are recycled into purified steel to be used in products such as washing machines, fridges and cars.
