Apps4Africa winners are announced
The three winners of the latest Apps4Africa competition have been announced on the BBC World Service.
The Apps4Africa scheme is funded by the US State Department and the World Bank,
It gives awards of $10,000 (£6,500) to three selected projects with the possibility of top-up funds if the winners meet set targets.
The organisation asks young technology developers to submit their business ideas aimed at solving local problems.
One of the winners, Titus Mawano of Ffene, external based in Uganda, which provides a low-cost business management platform, spoke to the BBC World Service.
