How do criminals go about cloning your card?

The British Retail Consortium has published a report claiming that the cost of retail crime to the industry was 18% higher than the previous year, costing the industry £603m in the year 2013-2014.

Despite the use of chip and pin in the UK, criminals stills try to clone cards so they can use them in international transactions.

The BBC's Rory Cellan-Jones spoke to James Lyne, head of research at cyber-security firm Sophos, to find out how criminals go about cloning your card.
