Google's robot Spot stays standing after kick
Google's Boston Dynamics division has unveiled its latest robot - a four-legged machine that stays standing even when its creators try to kick it over.
Named Spot, the dog-inspired robot is designed to be used both inside buildings and on rough terrain.
Google purchased Boston Dynamics as part of a robotics spending spree in December 2013.
The Massachusetts-based engineering firm had been closely associated with the Pentagon up until that point, but the search firm said it would stop accepting military contracts.
