Making a thermal heat map of the US
A start-up in the US is using a fleet of cars equipped with thermal imaging cameras to highlight the properties and homes that are not energy efficient.
Some fear the data set could encourage unsolicited sales calls to poorly performing properties, but the company says that the technology means insulation products will be better targeted in the future to homes that need them the most.
