The Vamps help launch Micro Bit mini-computers
Pop rock group The Vamps have helped launch the Micro Bit mini-computer by handing them out to pupils in London.
The band visited the City of London Academy in Islington and took part in activities including playing with a Micro Bit-controlled guitar and triggering selfies with the pocket-sized device.
Year Seven (11-to-12-year-old) schoolchildren and equivalents are getting copies of the machine - which is designed to help teach them code internet-connected projects - as part of an initiative spearheaded by the BBC and involving dozens of tech firms.
