Dyson announces 'quieter' £299 hairdryer
British design and engineering firm Dyson has announced the release of its first hairdryer.
The dryer contains a small air pump located in the handle which, the company says, makes it lighter and less noisy than rival devices.
Sensors in the device check the temperature making it less likely to overheat and damage the hair.
The company said it has spent £50m ($73m) and taken five years to develop the product.
BBC Click's Spencer Kelly visited the company's headquarters to find out more.
