Man fined for drowning squirrel

A man has been ordered to pay more than £1,500 after drowning a grey squirrel he caught in his garden.

The RSPCA prosecuted him because it said it had caused the animal unnecessary suffering.

Grey squirrels are blamed for the decline of their red cousins in Britain.
