Cameron and Zardari to hold talks at Chequers

David Cameron and Pakistan's President Zardari are hoping to patch up their differences when they meet for formal talks at the prime minister's country residence Chequers.

They will try to smooth tensions after the PM's recent comments that elements in Pakistan promoted terrorism.

On Thursday night, Mr Zardari was Mr Cameron's guest at a private dinner at the country residence.

Other topics for discussion will include the Nato campaign in Afghanistan, trade and the ongoing floods crisis in Pakistan.
