Dover locals anxious over possible port sale

The Port of Dover could be sold, and it is possible that the new owners may be French.

The voluntary privatisation would generate much-needed cash for the Treasury.

The sale is causing great anxiety in Dover itself, where cross-channel traffic is responsible for much of the town's prosperity.
