Blair talks of a 'difficult' relationship with Brown
The first extracts of Tony Blair's memoirs have revealed that he considered sacking Gordon Brown as Chancellor, but kept him on to stop him becoming an enemy within the party.
In the book the former Prime Minister reveals that he believed Mr Brown would be a disastrous leader.
Mr Blair also said he was "sorry for the lives cut short" by the Iraq War, but did not regret the invasion.
