Cameron: 'There should be a royal wedding bank holiday'

Prime Minister David Cameron has said that it would be a "very good idea" to have a bank holiday to mark the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The royal wedding will take place in London next spring or summer, although the couple are thought to favour a March date.

The prime minister said there would need to be a debate, but indicated he was personally keen on "a day of national celebration".
