London schoolboy Damilola Taylor dies after stabbing

Ten-year-old Damilola Taylor bled to death on a stairwell after being cut with a broken bottle during an attack by youths, in Peckham in 2000.

The Nigerian-born schoolboy was on his way home from a computer class when he was accosted.

The death shocked people both in the UK and Damilola's native Nigeria and sparked a lengthy search for those responsible.

Teenage brothers Danny and Ricky Preddie were eventually convicted of manslaughter in 2006.
