Britain struggles with snow and freezing conditions

Britain is experiencing the worst early snowfall for 17 years.

Severe weather warnings remain in place in south-east Scotland and north-east England, with temperatures plummeting and some areas seeing up to sixteen inches of snow.

Temperatures in some parts have dropped below -10C and forecasters say the cold snap could last for up to two weeks.
